- As the show goes on, fans can expect the Bridgerton family tree to expand and include spouses and children – as well as grandchildren – of the eight Bridgerton siblings.
It’s been a couple of years since Bridgerton aired on Netflix, but it keeps living in our minds rent-free because of how adorable the Bridgerton family’s members are. Because let’s admit, no matter how much of a cynic you are, nothing says cute like finding real love. The fact that all the Bridgerton children are destined to find the love of their lives made it one of the best comfort shows of 2020.
After the end of the first season, we’ve finally seen Daphne and Simon start to settle into married life. This was followed by Anthony and Kate Sharma, who was Kate Sheffield in the books, getting together.
But with eight Bridgerton siblings and a really long series to look forward to, keeping track of the Bridgerton family tree is bound to get confusing at one point or another so here are the full deets on the siblings’ spouses and their kids.
The Bridgerton Family Tree at the Start of the Show

The Bridgerton family tree starts with Violet and Edmund Bridgerton whose fairytale romance and ideal marriage inspire all of their children to look for the love of their lives. Even the less romantic ones, like Eloise, seem to secretly aspire to the kind of healthy, mutually loving relationship that their parents had with each other.
Anthony and Kate

Anthony Bridgerton is the eldest of the Bridgerton kids and has been serving as the 9th Viscount Bridgerton since his father’s death when he was only 17 years old. Because of this, both he and Kathani Sharma (known as Katherine Sheffield in the books) have this strong sense of responsibility for their sibling/s and guilt when they can’t live up to their own expectations of protecting them.
But that’s also a good thing in its own way since they understand each other better. Though Anthony was initially engaged to Edwina Sharma, Kate’s younger sister, it quickly became clear they’re a better personality fit as Kate understands his sense of duty to his family and is able to keep the haughtier aspects of his personality in check.
Kate and Anthony had four kids in the books.
Benedict and Sophie

Benedict Bridgerton is the sensitive and artistic brother among the eldest three Bridgerton boys, putting him in sharp contrast against his sterner brother Anthony. He seems to get involved in some rather, ahem, controversial activity by Bridgerton standards. His unconventionality leaves the door open to him accepting Sophie Beckett.
Unlike Daphne, Sophie is in a precarious position as the illegitimate daughter of an earl. She has a bit of a Cinderella theme going on since she’s made to serve her stepmother and stepsisters who she accompanies to a masked ball where she meets Benedict.
In the books, Benedict and Sophie have four kids.
Colin and Penelope

Colin and Penelope Featherington’s romance is currently the star of the show where they’re depicted as having a “girl next door and best friend who doesn’t see her that way” type of dynamic. After the whole debacle with Marina Thompson almost marrying Colin to pass off her child as his, Colin and Penelope are expected to grow closer and eventually marry.
They also have four children in the books.
Daphne and Simon

Everybody’s favorite Bridgerton couple, Duke Simon Basset and Daphne Bridgerton are as charming as charming gets. While it’s obvious that the first book gets the first season, there’s definitely some marketing benefit to having these two be the first couple to show up in the series: They’re gorgeous people and even more gorgeous together.
Daphne and Simon have four kids in the books too, but at the end of it, they also have a handful of grandchildren. Talk about having a headstart.
Eloise and Philip

Eloise Bridgerton’s romance feels like it would be one of a kind because of how unconventional Eloise Bridgerton is. While Penelope is an unconventional woman herself, it’s no secret that she fawns on men, especially Colin. Not Eloise. If anything, she seems to hate it and is set up as the Jo March of Bridgerton.
Still, she ends up with Philip Crane. The show seems to diverge from the books here because, in the books, Philip is the brother of George Crane, the guy who got Marina Thompson pregnant. Philip first marries Marina to fulfill his dead brother’s duties. Later, Marina dies and Philip starts a correspondence with Eloise before he proposes to her.
Basically, they have the Bridgerton equivalent of a Discord romance which honestly doesn’t sound too out of character for Eloise as we know her on the show.
Francesca and Michael

As the sixth Bridgerton kid, Francesca Bridgerton is still pretty young when we meet her in the first season. She’s much more reserved and shy compared to her older sisters. She falls in love with Michael Stirling in When He Was Wicked and goes on to have two kids with him.
Gregory and Lucinda

Gregory Bridgerton, like Daphne, is one of the biggest romantics in the family and is deadset on meeting the love of his life, the woman of his dreams. Instead, he gets stern and practical-minded Lucinda Abernathy who thinks her friend is making a mistake by marrying him. Though the two obviously fall in love anyway, Lucinda is already engaged.
So it’s up to Gregory the Romantic to get the girl.
The two have several children in the books, many of which are named after Gregory’s siblings.
Hyacinth and Gareth

It can feel strange thinking about Hyacinth getting married now because she’s the youngest Bridgerton and practically a baby when the show starts but Hyacinth is surprisingly mature and wise. She’s a lot like Daphne given her elegance and eagerness to enter the marriage mart but has the sharp wit and outspokenness of Eloise.
The two are brought together when Hyacinth agrees to help Gareth translate the St. Clair family’s old diary. They have two kids in the books.
The Bridgerton Family Tree We Expect at the End of the Netflix Series

Fans initially assumed that Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton books would be adapted in the order they were released, but that’s clearly not happening since the showrunners are setting up Colin and Penelope more in these past few episodes. That said, it’s expected that the pairings stay the same for the entire show’s run. If there are any changes, those will likely be changes to the number of children they have, how certain couples meet, and the names of the characters which we’ve already seen when Katherine Sheffield became Kathani Sharma.
