There’s nothing better than finding a deal on a game you’ve been eyeing for months. Steam seems to constantly be having some sort of sale-extravaganza, and the Humble Bundle is always offering one bundle of games or another, but did you know that there are sites with better deals out there? The Humble Bundle has actually been declining in quality over the last few years, and the great deals you could once find are almost no longer.
In its place, a number of sites have stepped up to the plate and offered bundles of their own. These bundles are always offered at a great discount and usually feature some pretty great games. You do have to keep an eye out for the occasional dud, but overall, these 7 sites are great for cheap Steam keys. These sites are like Humble Bundle, too, and constantly run new deals, so be sure to add them to your bookmarks and check back every so often.
Fanatical
Fanatical is easily the best replacement for the Humble Bundle if you’re looking for one. They’re similar in style and have great deals that can easily flesh out your Steam library. There are typically 5-10 bundles going on at any given time, and that doesn’t include the book and software bundles. We suggest staying away from the mystery bundles since they’re more often than not a wash, but the other bundles are definitely good buys.
We love that you can pick what games you want from each bundle too. If you only want a handful, you can do that. If you want every game in the bundle, you can do that too. The price is different depending on how many games you buy, but most bundles offer games at anywhere from $1 to $5 apiece. They even have triple AAA bundles with titles like Fallout 4, Wolfenstein, Prey, and more.
Green Man Gaming
In a similar vein as the Humble Bundle, Green Man Gaming offers cheap keys and great deals. They also offer keys for consoles if you’re not just interested in PC gaming. Their “Coming Soon” tab shows upcoming releases that you can get a deal on, like the Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC port or the new expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online.
They don’t have books or software like the Humble Bundle and Fanatical, but their store is filled with gaming deals that you’d be hard-pressed to find on other sites. Discounts range from 10% all the way up to 92% from what we can see.
Epic Bundle
Epic Bundle is more of an aggregator of bundles than a bundle service itself. They’re a great site for looking at all the different bundles from trusted sites in one place. They show deals from Fanatical, MightyDeals, Humble Bundle, Indie Gala, StackSocial, and other sites. If you’d rather not bookmark and check all the sites on this list for bundle deals, head on over to Epic Bundle and just take a quick scroll every once in a while, so you don’t miss out.
Groupees
Groupees is great for getting tons of indie games. When we took a look at their deals, we immediately saw a 100-game bundle for just $10. Now, not every game in there is going to be a winner, but if you just take a quick look around their site, you’ll definitely find something that catches your eye.
Besides games, we also saw a lot of eBook and Audiobook bundles that might interest people, covering topics like the stock market, Elon Musk, meditation, and more. Every bundle was priced differently, but the majority of them seemed to fall around the $2 to $5 range, which can be a steal depending on the games included.
Good Old Games
Good Old Games (GOG) is slightly different than the Humble Bundle, but it deserves an honorable mention thanks to its stellar mission and great deals. GOG delivers DRM-free games, which means that any game you buy from them is yours to own forever. Unlike Steam, GOG games can be downloaded and played offline without the need for an internet connection (usually).
On the opposite side of the spectrum, almost any game you buy on Steam is locked to your account and requires you to log in to play. If Steam were ever to shut down, you’d almost certainly lose your entire library. GOG is a solution to this possible future problem, and we highly suggest checking their site for deals if you were looking to buy the game on Steam or any other platform.
Besides that, they also have great deals and a wide selection of games. A lot of great titles can be found for around $5, like Firewatch, Amnesia: Rebirth, and more, as they cycle in new deals. Definitely give them a look if you haven’t already.
IndieGala
IndieGala is perfect for fans of, well, indie games! You’re not going to find too many well-known devs or titles here, but there is definitely a handpicked assortment of indie games across multiple bundles. The cheapest bundle we saw included 12 games and was only $1.49, so it’s certainly a good way to beef up your library.
They also have some freebie games you can claim by heading over to the “Showcase” tab. Their store has more well-known titles than their bundles, like Planet Zoo, Stranded, or The Last of Us, but you might be better off heading to GOG or Steam for deals on those games.
IsThereAnyDeal
Before you buy any bundle—or any game for that matter—you need to check IsThereAnyDeal. This site knows the sale and price history of basically every game on Steam and other game stores. It will tell you the historic lows of a game, the average sale price, and whether or not you’re actually getting a good deal on a game.
Why buy a bundle for $10 if it contains 5 games that are often on sale for $1? IsThereAnyDeal will help you keep your wallet and game library full, two things that most players often struggle with. You can also set up a waitlist to get notifications about games you want. The waitlist will keep an eye on them and shoot you a message when those games go on sale or hit a certain price. Definitely use this site if you buy a lot of games on Steam or are even thinking about it!
Wrap Up
We hope you found a new site to use to buy cheap keys or that’s like Humble Bundle. These sites are a great way to fill out your Steam library without breaking the bank. If you know of a site where you can snag a good deal, let us know in the comments so that everyone else can benefit from it too!
