It’s that time of the month again when we remind you to stop spending those Stellar Jades carelessly because Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 is looming intently on the horizon. And with that, we also present you with some obligatory Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 leaks.
As always, these are either intentional or accidental leaks that can help free-to-play players a lot since they can now plot out their Stellar Jade spending plans for the upcoming 5-star (or 4-star) characters. Granted, Honkai: Star Rail Update 1.3 hasn’t even been released yet, but this information for Update 1.4 could prove useful.
Do keep in mind that our Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 leaks are to be taken with a grain of salt until the developers confirm (or debunk) them via a live stream. Currently, there’s no official release date yet for Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 but based on the usual Update length, speculation points to a probable October 11, 2023, for Phase 1 (which should last 20+ days).
Let’s start with the characters!
Topaz Will Likely Rock Phase 1 of Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 (5-star)
Players have already seen Topaz before, as she’s prominently featured in one of the standard Light Cones.
To be more precise, it’s the 4-star Light Cone named ‘Trend of the Universal Market’ as it shows Topaz deep in thought while looking at the projection of a planet along with some numbers.
It turns out Topaz is a 5-star character with the following classifications:
That very well means Topaz could be a nice replacement or alternative for the Fire Trailblazer character since they have the same Element and Path or role. The Preservation characters are well-known for their shield-generating capabilities. So Topaz is going to be a tanky support, most likely.
Topaz is more unique or distinct, however, since she has the ability to summon a companion named Zhang Zhang who can assist her in battle or take the heat off her (Get it? Since she’s also a Fire Element character? Okay, never mind.)
We’d also like to note that HoYoverse could switch up Topaz’s release date from Phase 1 to Phase 2 based on their whims or their reactions to leak popularity.
Jingliu is Up for Phase 2 of Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 (5-star)
We have yet again another Xianzhou Luofu character possibly slated for Phase 2 of Honkai: Star Rail 1.4.
Jingliu or Phase 2 is speculated to arrive sometime in November 2023 once Phase 1 has ended its three-week run. Again, HoYoverse could always switch up the Phases, so just be wary.
In any case, Jingliu is a great option for those looking for another main damage dealer. These are her classifications:
That’s a curious combo right there, as it has never appeared before in Honkai: Star Rail.
Jingliu and her whole schtick is taking advantage of her and her teammates’ HP numbers in order to increase or enhance her own damage output so she probably works well with a shield-generator on the team or a consistent healer.
Like Topaz, Jingliu is also white-haired, if that matters for players who pull for aesthetics. And like most Ice characters in Honkai: Star Rail, as well as its sister game, Genshin Impact, Jingliu has a cool and mysterious demeanor.
Xueyi is Coming to Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 (4-star)
That one NPC in Xianzhou Luofu you wished was a playable character due to her clothing is finally coming. Wish granted. Sort of. Don’t celebrate yet.
Xueyi is a notable NPC who belongs to the Xianzhou Puppet species and can often be seen in her legal roles, particularly for Yukong.
As for her classifications, it would be another peculiar combo:
- Quantum Element
- The Destruction Path
Also, it’s not really solid yet whether she’ll be bundled along with Phase 1 or Phase 2. Fans will need to keep their eyes peeled for more information.
In fact, there were earlier leaks and speculations that it might not even be Xueyi at all. But the usual Honkai: Star Rail leaker suggested that Xueyi could be coming with Jingliu in Phase 2.
5-Star Characters Will Come with Their BIS Light Cones
Suffice it to say, the aforementioned 5-star characters will also come with their ideal Light Cones, as was the case for all 5-star releases.
It’s not clear yet which weapons those will be, but there’s a big chance they’ll be new and also limited.
If we’re lucky, there will also be an accompanying event or quest for the aforementioned characters, which will reward players with alternative 4-star budget Light Cones since they did this with Silver Wolf back in Update 1.1. Don’t hold your breath for that, though. Not every Update is Christmas.
Still, one can always prepare for that possibility. All that’s left is to wait and see what Honkai: Star Rail 1.4 will bring.
